First Aid Equipment & Inspection

- Managing an Occupational Health Department requires appropriate and available supplies and equipment. This is especially critical with respect to emergency and first aid supplies.
- Each Company work site will maintain at a minimum the First Aid supplies required by Regulation 1101 of the Workplace Insurance Safety Board.
- Walsh & Associates staff along with company representative will determine which First Aid supplies required, ordering, maintenance and inspection responsibilities will be determined between two parties. RN/OHN may assist by providing recommendations to company.
- Each Walsh & Associates Health Services work site will maintain necessary supplies, but it is understood that specific sites will have differing requirements dependant on need and volume of use.
- First Aid Supplies are checked on a regular basis for amounts, expiry dates, accessibility, cleanliness.
- On an annual basis a full inspection and cleaning of all contents in First Aid Room or Trauma bags will be completed.
